Chemical Coatings Plant
At the edge of a former industrial area in central Germany once stood a chemical production site specializing in high-quality synthetic waxes. The facilities mainly produced polyolefin waxes: highly pure, nearly odorless materials with precisely controlled properties. These substances were used as additives in plastics, coatings, and modified bitumen, where they improved processability, wear resistance, and thermal stability.
Production relied on modern catalytic processes that allowed the melting behavior and molecular structure of the waxes to be tailored exactly to customer requirements. In addition, granulation and pastillation operations were carried out, converting liquid or powdered raw materials into solid pellets for transport and further industrial processing.
