Westfälische Metallwarenfabrik Christophery

Christophery GmbH was a German company founded in 1851, initially specializing in the production of sewing, darning, and packing needles. Over time, the company expanded its product range to include architectural hardware such as door handles and window fittings. It became known for its nickel-plated hardware and, in the 1930s, introduced plastic components under the brand name “Christolit.”

In the 1990s, the company established a subsidiary in Eastern Europe focused on producing duroplastic components such as handles and knobs, primarily for the automotive industry. This facility later became independent and collaborated with companies like Bosch and Fischer. Production included insulating components and ashtrays, operated by a small team using various presses and injection molding machines.
