Schimmelkirche / Molmecker Kirche
This neo-Gothic Protestant church was built between 1897 and 1899 and once served as an important religious center for the local community. Over the years, the building lost its function and gradually fell into disrepair. Since the early 2000s, the church has stood empty, and in 2002, a demolition request was even submitted.
Yet the building endures as a striking symbol of the region’s religious and architectural heritage. Despite its severe state of decay, the church was never demolished
