Along Lange Straße in the German town of Rietberg once stood an imposing metal foundry: DS Rietberger Formguss GmbH & Co. Betriebs KG. Located in the heart of the Neuenkirchen district, this factory played a key role in the regional industry. Heavy metal components were cast here for use in machinery and construction craftsmanship passed down through generations.

Founded in the year 2000, the company grew into a well-known name in metal casting. Behind its broad factory walls, filled with the scent of iron and oil, workers crafted cast parts with great care and precision. The facility featured modern casting technology, specialized equipment, and its own energy supply hallmarks of a robust and technically advanced operation.

Yet even this foundry could not withstand the pressures of changing markets and global competition. In 2018, insolvency proceedings were initiated, and by early 2019, the company was officially dissolved.
