Rawe & Co
Rawe & Co, founded in 1896 by Bernard Rawe in Nordhorn, Germany, grew into one of the region’s largest textile manufacturers, specializing in spinning, weaving, and printing fabrics.
The company became known for workwear and women’s fashion under the “Original Rawe” brand.
Facing strong competition from Asia and Eastern Europe, Rawe closed between 1999 and 2001, and the former factory site was later redeveloped into the Rawe-Ring Center and other new facilities.
