The historic complex originally began as a farmstead in the first half of the 19th century. In 1845 the property was converted into a village inn (Gasthof), serving both travelers and the local community as a place to eat, meet, and gather.

In 1874 a large dance hall was added, complete with a stage. This hall became the social center of the area and was used for weddings, dances, music performances, and local celebrations. For many generations the inn remained an important meeting place for the surrounding community.

During the East German (DDR) period, the building functioned as a Konsum restaurant, while the hall continued to host cultural events and public gatherings. After German reunification the complex remained in use for some time as a restaurant and event venue.

In the early 21st century the inn eventually closed its doors. The historic property, which had remained in the hands of the same family for more than a century and a half, was later sold with plans to restore the buildings and give them a new purpose.
