Kraftwerk Boxberg

Kraftwerk Boxberg is one of the largest lignite-fired power plants in Germany, located near Boxberg/Oberlausitz in Saxony. It was built in the 1960s and reached its peak in the 1980s with an installed capacity of 3,520 megawatts, spread across 14 units.
