Café & Konditorei Berthold was for many years a well-known place in the local German coffee culture. The café served traditional cakes and pastries, made using classic recipes. Inside, the atmosphere was quiet and simple, with small tables and a counter filled with baked goods.

Like many small konditoreien, it was not only a place to eat but also a meeting place for local people. After the café closed, an important part of everyday life disappeared from the street.
