Betonwerk Keupers-Appeltans was for many years a local concrete works supplying prefabricated concrete products to the surrounding construction sector. The site consisted of functional industrial halls, storage areas, and heavy machinery designed for casting and processing concrete on an industrial scale.

As market conditions changed and pressure within the construction industry increased, the company ran into financial difficulties. In 2017 it was declared bankrupt, bringing production to a permanent halt. Since then, the complex has been left abandoned, with silent machines, empty workshops, and decaying structures that now stand as a quiet reminder of a once-active industrial workplace.
