Bassin de Natation

The building was constructed in the 1930s as a modern public swimming pool, designed to make sport and hygiene accessible to everyone. Behind its restrained brick façade were several pools, tall windows, and a striking wall mural celebrating movement and water. For decades, generations of visitors learned to swim here, while the interior remained largely unchanged.

As the technical installations aged and renovation costs continued to rise, keeping the complex operational became increasingly difficult. The swimming pool closed permanently on December 1, 2020. Since then, the water has disappeared, but the tiled basins, diving boards, and colorful walls remain silent witnesses to a place that was once filled with life.
