Church of the Assumption

In a quiet Czech village stands the Church of the Assumption, a rural church that has witnessed more than a century and a half of local life. The paint peels from the walls, the wood has grown dull, yet inside there is still a warm, almost timeless atmosphere.

The old organ, the crooked Stations of the Cross, and the simply painted ceilings tell the story of generations who once came here to pray. In a side room, a faded Christmas tree and old liturgical robes remain, as if the last service took place not so long ago.

Outside, the church is reflected in the frozen pond, surrounded by farmhouses and silence.
