Veterinary Research Laboratory

The building most likely served as a veterinary and food safety laboratory, connected to the meat-processing industry. Here, samples were analyzed, hygiene checks were carried out, and results were documented before products continued further along the supply chain. Such laboratories formed an essential, yet largely invisible, part of food production.

Following the economic changes of the 1990s, the site fell into disuse. The equipment was removed and the building was left without a new purpose. What remains today is a quiet, abandoned place where the layout and materials still bear witness to the precise and routine work of a bygone era.
