Alienworks / U4 Power Plant

Hidden among the remains of a former ironworks complex lies the impressive Alienworks Power Plant, also known as the U4 Power Station. Built in the 1930s, this facility supplied energy to the surrounding steel industry. It was part of a much larger industrial site established in the late 19th century and operated for decades under the Stumm family.

What remains today is a remarkably well-preserved turbine hall featuring five unique units, surrounded by control panels, a curved mezzanine, and a distinctive observation balcony. While most of the complex has vanished, the power station and the iconic U4 blast furnace still stand now protected as industrial heritage.
