Château Wendel / Bureau Central
In the French town of Hayange stands the abandoned Château Wendel and the adjacent Bureau Central, once the administrative heart of the influential Wendel steel dynasty.
The building, with its grand glass dome and stately corridors, still exudes the grandeur of a bygone industrial era. Since its closure in 2012, the complex has remained empty and slowly decaying, yet protected as a historic monument a silent reminder of the power and wealth of France’s steel industry.
