Tucked away on the outskirts of the town stands a towering industrial relic from a bygone era: the former coal-fired power plant of EDF. For over half a century, this plant supplied electricity to the region, until it was permanently shut down in 2014.

With its tall chimneys, dark facades, and sprawling machinery, it once stood as a symbol of industrial strength and progress. Day and night, the fires burned, and the rumble of coal and steam filled the air. But with the rise of cleaner energy sources and stricter environmental regulations, this giant fell into disuse.
