The factory, formerly known as Cockerill Forges, is part of the rich industrial heritage of the Liège region. As a continuation of the heavy steel industry that has defined the area since the 19th century, the company evolved into a leading producer of forged components. Under the name ArcelorMittal Ringmill, it became a key player in the manufacturing of seamless rolled steel rings, used in sectors such as wind energy, rail transport, heavy machinery, and maritime engineering.
